I find it particularly curious, that, as someone who is very rarely short of something to say in private life, when presented with the opportunity to publish my thoughts on the internet, I have nothing to say. Even as I type this, I do it not out of a particular urge to say anything, but rather out of insomnia and boredom. But anyhow, as this is my first post, I suppose I should state my intentions and explain myself. I intend for this to be a place where I can rant, muse, and perhaps even pontificate about whatever strikes my fancy. The overtly pretentious title is Latin (a particular love of mine) and also partly my name. My name, Conor, is Irish in origin, and means "lover of hounds," but, by an amusing coincidence is also the first person singular of a Latin verb, which means "I try or I attempt" and, rather appropriately, has the connotation of attempting and failing. The full title is the form in which I was taught to memorize verbs when I studied Latin in high school, consisting of the first person singular, the infinitive, and the perfect tenses. So, the title translates as "I try/to try/I have tried."
That's enough for now.
